Student School Hours/ Attendance
Following the school calendar, student school hours for all grades are:
7:50 a.m. to 3:11 p.m.
Students are expected to be at school every day unless they have an excused absence. It's important that students take pride in their attendance record at JMS. If a student cannot attend school, the parent/guardian should call the middle school office at 675-1315 before the start of the school day. If no contact is made, a "safe call" will be made to make sure the student is safe. If the call is not made on the day of the absence, a written statement (signed by the parent/guardian) is to be submitted to the middle school office upon the student's return. Normally, the excuse must be submitted within 48 hours or the absence may be considered a truancy. Thank you for your help with this process!
